Flows SW to Susitna River, 10 mi. NW of Willow and 47 mi. N of Anchorage, Cook Inlet Low.

Name published in 1954 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Named because it is 196 miles from Seward to where the Alaska Railroad crosses the stream.
