Portage Creek is located heads at Stoney Glacier, flows E to Skwentna River, 78 mi. NW of Tyonek, Alaska Range
History
Named by Spurr (1900, p. 50), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), because it was along this stream he began his portage across the divided to the Kuskokwim River.
