One of the Meadow Lakes in the Matanuska Valley, 1.6 mi NW of Pittman, Chugach Mts. 229 acres in size. Maximum depth is 19 feet.

One of the Meadow Lakes in the Matanuska Valley, named for Orville George Herning (died 1947), who came to Alaska in 1898 and was long associated with mining and business in this area.
