Description
Located 10 miles SE of the summit of Denali, extends 7 mi between Explorers Peak and the confluence of West Fork Ruth Glacier and Northwest Fork Ruth Glacier, in Denali National Park.
History
Named for Donald E. Sheldon (1921-1975), bush pilot who flew over 27 years in support of mapping, patrol, mountaineering, search and rescue, and wildlife air census operations on and in the area of Denali.
