Description
Contact Creek is located flows SW joins Takayofo Creek to form King Salmon River, on Alaska Peninsula in Katmai National Monument, 39 mi. SW of Mount Katmai, Aleutian Range. 24 miles long.
History
Descriptive name given by R. H. Sargent, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in 1923 "because it flows along a fault in the rock."
