Description

On SE coast of Alaska Peninsula, the S point of the entrance to Chignik Bay, trends NE 11 mi. along SE shore of Castle Bay, Aleutian Range.

History

This cape is described in 1898 by Lieutenant Commander J. F. Moser, U.S. Navy (USN), of the U.S. Bureau of Fisheries (USBF) steamer Albatross, as "a high-turreted or castellated point, called Tuliumnit Point or Castle Cape." shown as "M(ys) Tuliumnit" on Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1379 (1847). and named thus in 1926.
