Description
Port Heiden is located extends NW 12 mi. from the Meshik River to Bristol Bay, entrance 3 mi. wide, between Strogonof Point and Chistiakof I. 9 mi. SW of Port Heiden Airfield; Bristol Bay Low.
History
named "Baie Comte Heyden" in 1828 by Captain F. P. Lutke, Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), for "Count Heiden." named it "Baie Houdobin" for the officer on Lutke's corvette Moller.
