Windy Bay is located on S shore of Alaska Peninsula, trends SE 4 mi. to Kuiukta Bay, 16 mi. SW of Chignik; Aleutian Range
History
local name published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1916 Coast Pilot (p. 161). So named "because of the strong winds and 'williwaws' encountered there."
