Description
Chignik Lagoon is located on E coast Alaska Peninsula, 5 mi. NW of Chignik, Aleutian Range. 8 miles long.
History
Locally named after Chignik Bay; recorded in 1899 by Lieutenant Commander J. F. Moser, U.S. Navy (USN), of the U.S. Bureau of Fisheries (USBF) steamer Albatross.
