Anchorage Bay is located on E coast of Alaska Peninsula, extends SSW off Chignik Bay W of Chignik, Aleutian Range; 6 miles long.

Local name; reported by Lieutenant Commander Moser, U.S. Navy (USN), commander of the U.S. Bureau of Fisheries (USBF) steamer Albatross; published in 1899 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS).
