Description
Kokechik River is located distributary of Kashunuk River, heads at 614325N, 1645200W, flows W to Igiak Bay, Kokechik Bay, Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta.
History
Eskimo name, meaning "has wood" or "wooded," reported as Kakechik by R. H. Sargent, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in 1919.
