Kashunuk River is located distributary of Yukon River, heads at junction of Driftwood and Kashunuk Sloughs, 615230N1625545W, flows SW to Angyoyaravak Bay, Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta.
History
Eskimo name from Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 3), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), who wrote it "Kizhunak." E. W. Nelson, U.S. Signal Service, crossed this stream in Dec. 1878 and gave it its present spelling.
