Utukakarvik is located on W bank of Balck River, 27 mi. E of Scammon Bay, Yukon=Kuskokwim Delta
History
This Eskimo name is probably better rendered "Ulakakogavik" and generally means "place where slate (for making Ulas) is found." The name was reported by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1948 as "Oolakukkogavik."
