Description
Point Smith is located on S shore of Scammon Bay, 6 mi. E of Cape Romanzof, Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta.
History
Named by Dall (1870, p. 263) who wrote "The next, Cape Smith (named for Captain E(lijah) E(verett) Smith, to whom we owe the first chart of the Yukon Delta), is a long, low point***."
