Perevalnie Islands is located off NE coast of Shuyak I., 50 mi. N Kodiak I.
History
Transliteration by Baker (1906, p. 494), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), of the name "o(strov) Perevalnyy," meaning "draw across," published by the Russian American Company in 1849 for the largest island of this group. Baker used the generic "islet." See Carry Inlet.
