Description
Dovolno Point is located at head of Kizhuyak Bay, 16 mi. SW of Kodiak, on N coast of Kodiak I.
History
Russian name meaning "sufficiently," published in 1943 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS). The descriptive name "M(ys) Nizmennyy," meaning "low cape," was given to this point in 1839 or 1840 by Murashev and published in 1849 on Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1425.
