Description
Cape Liakik is located between Three Saints Bay and Sitkalidak Strait, on SE coast of Kodiak I.
History
Transliteration of "M(ys) Lyakhik," published by Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 23). Possibly derived from the Aleut word "lakh," which, according to R. H. Geoghegan, means "black=footed tundra goose," and which Father Veniaminov (1846, p. 47) published as "Lyakh."
