Portage Bay is located on N shore of Ugak Bay, on E coast of Kodiak I.
History
Translation in 1865 by US@C&GS of "Z(aliv) Perenosnoy" published by Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 22). The Russian Hydrographic Dept. published the native name "Kanatak" on Chart 1379 in 1847.
