History
Translation by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) of the name "zzaliv Yevvashichey", derived from an early name for Marmot Island, published by Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 22), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN). Captain Cook (1785, vol 2,p404), RN, called it "Whitsuntide Bay" in 1778 (?). See Izhut Bay. (AK-T1)
