Translation of the name "Z(aliv) Sukhoy Yelnik," published by Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 23) Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), derived from the name given to "Dry Spruce Island" in 1839 or 1840 by Sub. Lieutenant Murashev, Imperial Russian Navy (IRN). See Dry Spruce Island.
