History

Named by the Ketchikan Chamber of Commerce andU.S. Forest Service (USFS)in 1962 for Carl Anthony Manzoni (1928-1962) a local bush pilot who helped in selecting sites and in planning multiple type recretional facilities to promote the protection and recreational use of southeastern Alaska's forest resources adjacent to the lakes, streams, and bays of the Tongass National Forest.
