Description
Extends from Iphigenia Bay between Coronation and Warren Islands, between Kuiu and Prince of Wales Islands, around the north part of Price of Wales Island, between Zarembo and Mitkof Islands ending near the mouth of the Stikine River, west of Rynda Island.
History
Named in 1875 by W.H. Dall, for the Honorable Charles Sumner, 1811-1874, U.S. Senator from Massachussetts from 1851-1874.
