History
Named by Captain Vancouver, Royal Navy (RN), "August 12, 1793, on account of trouble there with the Indians" (Wagner, 1937, p. 419); this name was transliterated and published in 1853 as "Bukhta Tretr (izmyny)" on Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1495.
