Description
Beluga River is located heads at Beluga Lake, and flows SE to Cook Inlet, 11 mi. NE of Tyonek, Cook Inlet Low. 35 miles long.
History
Local name reported in 1898 by Eldridge (1900, map 3), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The word "beluga" or "byeluga" in Russian refers to the "white whale."
