Description
Salamatof is located on E shore of Cook Inlet at mouth of Salamatof Creek, 5.5 mi. NW of Kenai, Cook Inlet Low.
History
Tanaina Indian village reported about 1911 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) (Martin and others, 1915, pl. 2). Recent U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) maps indicate an abandoned site.
