Description
On the Kenai Peninsula, heads in the Kenai Mountains at the N end of the Harding Icefield, trends N to the head of Placer Creek, 14 mi NW of Seward, Chugach Mts.
History
Name reported in 1915 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS); probably named "for Mr. Lowell the first white settler on Seward."
