Description
Doroshin Bay is located on E shore of Skilak Lake, on Kenai Peninsula, 40 mi. ESE of Kenai, Chugach Mts. 0.4 mile wide.
History
Local name reported in 1959 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Possibly named for Peter P. Doroshin, a Russian mining engineer who made investigations in Cook Inlet in 1848.
