Description
Chrome Bay is located on S coast of Kenai Peninsula 2 mi. N of Elizabeth I. and 17 mi. SSW of Seldovia, Chugach Mts. 0.5 mile wide.
History
Local name reported by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1918, and so called because of its association with a "chrome ore mine" on Claim Point.
