Midway Islands is located in Stephens Passage between Snettisham Peninsula and Admiralty I., 4 mi. NE of Point Glass and 37 mi. SE of Juneau, Coast Mts.
History
Named by Commander R. W. Meade, U.S. Navy (USN); name published in 1869 on Hydrographic Chart 225; so named because "they are nearly in the middle of Stephens Passage."
