Description
Butcher Creek is located on S end of Cenotaph I. in Lituya Bay, in Glacier Bay National Monument, 3.2 mi. NE of Harbor Point and 86 mi. WNW of Hoonah, Malaspina Coastal Plain.
History
Named by W. H. Dall, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), in 1874. The name was published in the 1883 Coast Pilot (p. 204). See Cenotaph Island.
