Description
Midway Island is located in S part of Port Frederick, 10 mi. SW of Hoonah, on N central Chichagof I., Alex. Arch.
History
Descriptive name published in 1926 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) on Chart 8304. Presumably so named because the island is in the center of The Narrows.
