Description

Rendu Glacier is located heads in British Columbia at 591300N1370000W, trends SE to its terminus at head of Rendu Inlet, in Glacier Bay National Monument, 58 mi. SW of Skagway, St. Elias Mts.

History

Named by H. F. Reid (1896, pl. 90 and p. 431), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), for a French Glaciologist. It was called "Charpentier Glacier" by the Canadian Boundary Commission.
