Point Hugh is located on S tip of Glass Peninsula at junction of Seymour Canal and Stephens Passage, 8 mi. SE of Pleasant Bay and 54 mi. S of Juneau, Alex. Arch.
History
Named for Lord Hugh Seymore of England by Captain George Vancouver, Royal Navy (RN), after its discovery by Lieutenant Joseph Whidbey, Royal Navy (RN), after its discovery by Lieutenant Joseph Whidbey, Royal Navy (RN), on August 4, 1794 (Wagner, 1937, p. 392).
