Point Lavinia is located on N tip of Indian Peninsula, on Chichagof I., on S shore of South Inian Pass, 1.3 mi. N of Elfin Cove and 38 mi. WNW of Hoonah, Alex. Arch.
History
Named by Capt George Vancouver, Royal Navy (RN), in 1794 for Lady Lavinia Spencer, daughter of Margaret Bingham, Countess of Lucan (Wagner, 1937, p. 394).
