Description
False Channel Bay is located at NE end of Sillwater Anchorage, in Kootznahoo Inlet, on Admiralty I., 1.5 mi. NE of Angoon, Alex. Arch. 0.5 mile wide.

Named in 1869 by Commander R. W. Meade, U.S. Navy (USN); published in 1881 on Hydrographic Chart 882. The name does not appear on recent charts.
