Russian Reef is located in Chatham Strait, 15 mi. S of Angoon, off W coast of Admiralty I., Alex. Arch.
History
Named by Commander R. W. Meade, U.S. Navy (USN), and published on Chart 225 in 1869. This name was given because "a Russian vessel is said to have struck upon it."
