Description
Porcupine Creek is located heads in a glacier 3.4 mi. SW of Porcupine Peak, flows NE to Klehini River, 0.7 mi. NE of Porcupine, and 32 mi. W of Skagway, St. Elias Mts.
History
Prospectors name reported in 1898 by J.A. Flemer, US@C&GS. Aurel and Arthur Krause (1883, map) reported the Tlingit Indian name as Tlachkahiniku.
