Description
Chilkat Islands is located group of islands at N end of Lynn Canal, 2.5 mi. NE of Sullivan I., and 30 mi. S of Skagway, Coast Mts.
History
Named in 1880 by Captain La. A. Beardslee, U.S. Navy (USN), and published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in the 1883 Alaska Coast Pilot (p. 196). The islands include Kataguni, Shikosi, Anyaka, and Talsani Islands.
