The Butte is located at head of Butte Creek, 44 mi. N of Big Delta, Yukon-Tanana High.

History

Named by prospectors; reported in 1905 by D. C. Witherspoon (in Prindle, 1913a, pl. 1), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
