Description
Marconi Slough is located distributary, flows SW from Chena River to Tanana River, 5.5 mi. SW of Fairbanks, Tanana Low.
History
So named for the inventor of the the telegraph, Guglielmo Marconi, 1874-1937, because the Fairbanks-Nenana telegraph line followed the right bank of stream. The name is published on recent U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) maps.
