History
Prospectors' name published by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) (Brooks and others, 1914, pl. 15). The name was applied earlier to a stream near the head of Saint Patrick Creek as published by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) (Prindle, 1913, pl. 2), but the present usage has subsequently become established.
