5 mi SE of the confluence of the Salcha and Tanana Rivers and 38 mi SE of Fairbanks, Tanana Low.
History
Named for Warren Gamaliel Harding, 1865-1923, the 29th President of the United States, who visited Alaska just before his death. The lake was originally reported by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in 1909 as "Salchaket Lake."
