Description
Kokwok River is located heads at Okstutuk Lake and flows SE to Nushagak River, 36 mi. NE of Dillingham, Bristol Bay Low.
History
Eskimo name written "Kakuak" by Ivan Petroff in the 10th Census of 1880. The present spelling was established by Board on Geographic Names (BGN) in 1931 after being published by U.S. Bureau of Fisheries (USBF) in 1924.
