Description
Amanka Lake is located extends W to Iqushik River, 30 mi. W of Dillingham, Kilbuck-Kuskokwim Mts.; 8 miles long.
History
Eskimo name reported in 1898 by J. E. Spurr and W. S. Post, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS); Ivan Petroff reported its name as "Pogakhluk Lake", in the 10th census in 1880.
