Description
Clarks Point is located on E shore of Nushagak Bay, 14 mi. S of Dillingham, Bristol Bay Low.
History
The feature was named Clark Point for John Clark, who was the manager of the Alaska Commercial Company store at Nushagak Bay - Alaska Division of Community & Regional Affairs, 2009 (although it was originally reported to have been named in 1890 by U.S. Bureau of Fisheries (USBF) possibly for Samuel Fessenden Clark of Williams College - as reported in Orth, Dictionary of Alaska Place Names, 1967).
