Description
Herron Glacier is located trends N from Mount Foraker to head of Herron River, Alaska Range. 14 miles long.
History
Named in 1902 by A. H. Brooks, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), for Lieutenant Joseph S. Herron, USA, who conducted an exploring expedition in 1899 from Cook Inlet north along the west slope of the Alaska Range to the Tanana River.
