Description
Greyling Creek is located heads in Greyling Lake, flows NE to Tonsina Lake, 2.2 mi. E of mouth of Tonsina Creek and 35 mi. NE of Valdez, Chugach Mts. 14 miles long.
History
Named in 1898 by prospectors for the Alaska grayling, Thymallus signifer, a fresh water fish; reported by Oscar Rohn, of Captain W. R. Abercrombie's expedition in 1899. U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) published the present spelling in 1932.
