Description
Deception Creek is located heads SW of Alice Peak flows SW to Elliott Creek, 1.9 mi. S of Sheep Tmn., and 80 mi. NE of Valdez, Wrangell Mts. 1 mile long.
History
Named in 1899 by prospectors working on Elliott Creek; reported in 1902 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) (Mendenhall, 1905, p. 98).
