Description
Chokosna River is located flows SW to Gilahina River E of Gilahina Butte, 27 mi. W of McCarthy , Copper River Basin. 14 miles long.
History
Indian name, first recorded on a manuscript map made by prospectors in ; reported in 1901 by T. G. Gerdine, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), it was named "Fitch Creek" by Oscar Rohn in 1899, for H. H. Fitch, one of his packers.
