4 mi. ENE of Crosswind Lake and 22 mi. NNW of Glennallen, Copper River Basin. 4.5 miles long.
History
Local name recorded in 1910 by D. C. Witherspoon (in Moffit, 1912, pl. 1), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). It may be a corruption of the name "Ivan," an Indian Chief on the Tanana River.
